Paccanīyapaṭṭhāna

[277] A phenomenon (dhamma) with thought-conception and discursive thought (savitakka-savicāra) is a condition, by decisive-support condition (upanissaya-paccaya), for a phenomenon with thought-conception and discursive thought and for a phenomenon without thought-conception, with discursive thought only (avitakka-vicāramatta): object decisive-support (ārammaṇūpanissaya), proximity decisive-support (anantarūpanissaya), natural decisive-support (pakatūpanissaya). Natural decisive-support: faith (saddhā) with thought-conception and discursive thought … aspiration (patthanā) is a condition, by decisive-support condition, for faith with thought-conception and discursive thought, for aspiration, and for thought-conception (vitakka).
