[293] A phenomenon (dhamma) with thought-conception and discursive thought (savitakka-savicāra) and a phenomenon without thought-conception and with mere discursive thought (avitakka-vicāramatta) are a condition, by decisive-support condition (upanissaya-paccaya), for a phenomenon with thought-conception and discursive thought: object decisive-support (ārammaṇūpanissaya), proximity decisive-support (anantarūpanissaya), natural decisive-support (pakatūpanissaya).
Natural decisive-support: faith (saddhā) with thought-conception and discursive thought … virtue (sīla), learning (suta), generosity (cāga), wisdom (paññā), lust (rāga), hatred (dosa), delusion (moha), conceit (māna), view (diṭṭhi), aspiration (patthanā) … and thought-conception (vitakka) are a condition, by decisive-support condition, for faith with thought-conception and discursive thought, for virtue … for aspiration.
