[282] A phenomenon (dhamma) without thought-application and with mere sustained examination (avitakkavicāramatta) is a condition, by decisive-support condition (upanissaya-paccaya), for a phenomenon with thought-application and with sustained examination (savitakkasavicāra) and for a phenomenon without thought-application and with mere sustained examination: object decisive-support (ārammaṇūpanissaya), proximity decisive-support (anantarūpanissaya), natural decisive-support (pakatūpanissaya).
Natural decisive-support: Faith (saddhā) that is without thought-application and with mere sustained examination … virtue (sīla), learning (suta), generosity (cāga), wisdom (paññā) … and thought-application (vitakka) is a condition, by decisive-support condition, for faith that is with thought-application and with sustained examination, for aspiration (patthanā), and for thought-application.
