[292] A phenomenon (dhamma) without thought, with examination only (avitakka-vicāramatta), and a phenomenon without thought and without examination (avitakka-avicāra) are a condition for a phenomenon with thought and examination (savitakka-savicāra) and for a phenomenon without thought, with examination only, by decisive-support condition (upanissaya-paccaya): object decisive-support (ārammaṇūpanissaya), proximity decisive-support (anantarūpanissaya), natural decisive-support (pakatūpanissaya).
Natural decisive-support: Faith (saddhā) that is without thought, with examination only, … virtue (sīla), learning (suta), generosity (cāga), wisdom (paññā) … and examination (vicāra) are a condition for faith with thought and examination, for virtue, for learning, for generosity, for wisdom, for lust (rāga), for hatred (dosa), for delusion (moha), for conceit (māna), for wrong view (diṭṭhi), for longing (patthanā), and for thought (vitakka), by decisive-support condition.
