[281] A phenomenon (dhamma) without thought-conception, with mere discursive thought (avitakkavicāramatta), is a condition, by decisive-support condition (upanissaya-paccaya), for a phenomenon without thought-conception, with mere discursive thought, and for a phenomenon without thought-conception and without discursive thought (avitakka-avicāra): proximity decisive support (anantarūpanissaya), natural decisive support (pakatūpanissaya).
Natural decisive support: faith (saddhā) without thought-conception, with mere discursive thought, … virtue (sīla), learning (suta), generosity (cāga), wisdom (paññā) … and thought-conception (vitakka) are a condition, by decisive-support condition, for faith without thought-conception, with mere discursive thought, for virtue, for learning, for generosity, for wisdom, and for discursive thought (vicāra).
