[291] A phenomenon (dhamma) without thought-conception and with mere discursive thought (avitakka-vicāramatta) and a phenomenon without thought-conception and without discursive thought (avitakka-avicāra) are a condition, by decisive-support condition (upanissaya-paccaya), for a phenomenon without thought-conception and with mere discursive thought and for a phenomenon without thought-conception and without discursive thought: proximity decisive-support (anantarūpanissaya), natural decisive-support (pakatūpanissaya).
Natural decisive-support: faith (saddhā) without thought-conception and with mere discursive thought … virtue (sīla), learning (suta), generosity (cāga), wisdom (paññā) … and discursive thought (vicāra) are a condition, by decisive-support condition, for faith without thought-conception and with mere discursive thought, for virtue, for learning, for generosity, for wisdom, and for discursive thought.
