[319] A phenomenon (dhamma) without thought-conception and without discursive thought (avitakka-avicāra) is a condition, by way of repetition condition (āsevana-paccaya), for a phenomenon without thought-conception and with mere discursive thought (avitakka-vicāramatta).
Each preceding discursive thought (vicāra) is a condition, by way of repetition condition, for each subsequent set of aggregates (khandhā) that are without thought-conception and with mere discursive thought.
