[366] A phenomenon without thought-conception and without discursive thought (avitakka-avicāra dhamma) is a condition for a phenomenon without thought-conception and without discursive thought by absorption condition (jhāna-paccaya).
The jhāna factors (jhānaṅga) that are without thought-conception and without discursive thought are a condition for the associated aggregates (khandha) and for the forms originated by mind (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa) by absorption condition. Discursive thought (vicāra) is a condition for the forms originated by mind by absorption condition.
At the moment of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhi), discursive thought is a condition for the kamma-born forms (kaṭattā-rūpa) by absorption condition. Discursive thought is a condition for the base (vatthu) by absorption condition.
