[367] A phenomenon (dhamma) that is without thought-conception and without discursive thought (avitakka-avicāra) is a condition for a phenomenon that is without thought-conception but with discursive thought only (avitakka-vicāramatta), by absorption condition (jhāna-paccaya).
Discursive thought (vicāra) is a condition for the aggregates that are without thought-conception but with discursive thought only, by absorption condition.
