[406] A phenomenon (dhamma) without thought-conception and with mere discursive thought (avitakka-vicāramatta) is a condition for a phenomenon without thought-conception and without discursive thought (avitakka-avicāra) by presence condition (atthi-paccaya): connascent (sahajāta), postnascent (pacchājāta).
Connascent: the aggregates (khandhā) that are without thought-conception and with mere discursive thought, and thought-conception (vitakka), are a condition for mind-originated material phenomena (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa) by presence condition. At the moment of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhikkhaṇa), the aggregates that are without thought-conception and with mere discursive thought, and thought-conception, are a condition for kamma-born material phenomena (kaṭattārūpa) by presence condition.
Postnascent: the aggregates that are without thought-conception and with mere discursive thought, and thought-conception, are a condition for this prenascent (purejāta) body by presence condition.
The remaining five questions rooted in the phenomenon without thought-conception and with mere discursive thought are similar to [those under] the connascence condition (sahajāta-paccaya).
