[487] A phenomenon (dhamma) accompanied by rapture (pītisahagata) is a condition for a phenomenon accompanied by rapture by way of object condition (ārammaṇa-paccaya):
Having given a gift (dāna) with a mind (citta) accompanied by rapture, having undertaken virtue (sīla), having performed the uposatha observance (uposatha-kamma), one reviews that with a mind accompanied by rapture.
Having emerged from jhāna accompanied by rapture, having emerged from the path (magga), having emerged from fruition (phala), one reviews that with a mind accompanied by rapture.
Noble ones (ariyā), with a mind accompanied by rapture, review the abandoned defilements (kilesa) accompanied by rapture; they review the suppressed defilements; they know the defilements formerly indulged in.
One contemplates with insight the aggregates (khandhā) accompanied by rapture — with a mind accompanied by rapture — as impermanent, as suffering (dukkha), as not-self; one relishes and delights in those aggregates. With that [i.e., those aggregates] as object, lust accompanied by rapture arises, view (diṭṭhi) arises.
With the aggregates accompanied by rapture as object, aggregates accompanied by rapture arise.
