[632] Conditioned by a phenomenon (dhamma) to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by development (neva-dassanena-na-bhāvanāya-pahātabba), a phenomenon to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by development arises by not-root condition (na-hetupaccaya): Conditioned by one rootless (ahetuka) aggregate (khandha) to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by development, three aggregates and mind-originated form (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa) arise; conditioned by two aggregates … At the moment of rootless rebirth-linking (paṭisandhi), conditioned by the aggregates, the base (vatthu) arises; conditioned by the base, the aggregates arise; conditioned by one great element (mahābhūta) … external (bāhira) … nutriment-originated (āhārasamuṭṭhāna) … temperature-originated (utusamuṭṭhāna) … for the non-percipient beings (asaññasatta) … Conditioned by the eye base (cakkhāyatana), eye-consciousness (cakkhuviññāṇa) arises; conditioned by the body base (kāyāyatana), body-consciousness (kāyaviññāṇa) arises; conditioned by the base, the rootless aggregates to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by development arise. Conditioned by a phenomenon to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by development, a phenomenon to be abandoned by seeing … by not-root condition: conditioned by the base, delusion (moha) accompanied by doubt (vicikicchā) arises. Conditioned by a phenomenon to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by development, a phenomenon to be abandoned by development … by not-root condition: conditioned by the base, delusion accompanied by restlessness (uddhacca) arises.
