[667] A phenomenon (dhamma) to be abandoned by development (bhāvanā) is a condition for a phenomenon to be abandoned by development and for a phenomenon to be abandoned neither by seeing (dassana) nor by development … Roots (hetu) to be abandoned by development are a condition, by root condition (hetu-paccaya), for the associated aggregates (khandha) and for mind-originated forms (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa).
