[709] A phenomenon (dhamma) to be abandoned by seeing (dassanena pahātabba) is a condition for a phenomenon to be abandoned by seeing by decisive-support condition (upanissaya-paccaya): object decisive-support (ārammaṇūpanissaya), proximity decisive-support (anantarūpanissaya), natural decisive-support (pakatūpanissaya).
Natural decisive-support: In dependence on lust (rāga) to be abandoned by seeing, one kills a living being, takes what is not given … causes schism in the Saṅgha. In dependence on hatred (dosa) to be abandoned by seeing … delusion (moha) … wrong view (diṭṭhi) … wishing (patthanā), one kills a living being … causes schism in the Saṅgha. Lust to be abandoned by seeing … hatred, delusion, wrong view … wishing is a condition for lust to be abandoned by seeing, for hatred, for delusion, for wrong view, for wishing, by decisive-support condition.
