Each preceding delusion (moha) accompanied by doubt (vicikicchā) or accompanied by restlessness (uddhacca) is a condition, by way of immediacy condition (anantara-paccaya), for each succeeding delusion accompanied by doubt or accompanied by restlessness. Each preceding [set of] aggregates (khandhā) whose roots are to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by development is a condition, by way of immediacy condition, for each succeeding [set of] aggregates whose roots are to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by development. Conformity (anuloma) is a condition for change-of-lineage (gotrabhū); conformity is a condition for cleansing (vodāna). (Abridged.)
