[147] A phenomenon (dhamma) that is not a root but is accompanied by roots (nahetu-sahetuka) is a condition for a phenomenon that is not a root but is accompanied by roots by immediacy condition (anantara-paccaya): the preceding aggregates (khandhā) that are not roots but are accompanied by roots are a condition for the succeeding aggregates that are not roots but are accompanied by roots by immediacy condition; conformity (anuloma) [is a condition] for change-of-lineage (gotrabhū) … (abbreviated) … the sphere of neither perception nor non-perception (nevasaññānāsaññāyatana) is a condition for the attainment of fruition (phala-samāpatti) by immediacy condition.
