Rūpīduka

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Paṭṭhāna (3) · Vol. 42 · Section 275

[275] A material phenomenon (rūpī dhammo) is a condition for an immaterial phenomenon (arūpī dhammo) by prenascence condition (purejāta-paccaya): Object-prenascence (ārammaṇa-purejāta) and base-prenascence (vatthu-purejāta). Object-prenascence: the eye (cakkhu) … the base (vatthu) … edible food (kabaḷiṅkāra āhāra) as impermanent … grief (domanassa) arises. One sees a form with the divine eye (dibba-cakkhu); one hears a sound with the divine ear element (dibbā sota-dhātu). The form base (rūpāyatana) is a condition for eye-consciousness (cakkhu-viññāṇa); the tangible base (phoṭṭhabbāyatana), for body-consciousness (kāya-viññāṇa). Base-prenascence: the eye base (cakkhāyatana) is a condition for eye-consciousness; the body base (kāyāyatana), for body-consciousness; the base is a condition for the immaterial aggregates (khandhā) by prenascence condition.
