[630] A phenomenon (dhamma) dissociated from hindrances (nīvaraṇa-vippayutta) is a condition for a phenomenon dissociated from hindrances by prenascence condition (purejāta-paccaya): object-prenascence (ārammaṇa-purejāta), base-prenascence (vatthu-purejāta).
Object-prenascence: one contemplates with insight the eye … the base (vatthu) as impermanent (anicca), as suffering (dukkha), as not-self (anattā); one sees a form with the divine eye (dibbacakkhu), hears a sound with the divine ear element (dibbā sotadhātu); the form base (rūpāyatana) [is a condition] for eye-consciousness (cakkhuviññāṇa), the tangible base (phoṭṭhabbāyatana) for body-consciousness (kāyaviññāṇa).
Base-prenascence: the eye base (cakkhāyatana) [is a condition] for eye-consciousness, the body base (kāyāyatana) for body-consciousness; the base is a condition for the aggregates (khandhā) dissociated from hindrances by prenascence condition.
A phenomenon dissociated from hindrances is a condition for a phenomenon associated with hindrances (nīvaraṇa-sampayutta) by prenascence condition: object-prenascence, base-prenascence.
Object-prenascence: one relishes and delights in the eye … the base; taking that as object, lust (rāga), hatred (dosa), delusion (moha) [arise].
Base-prenascence: the base is a condition for the aggregates associated with hindrances by prenascence condition.
