[551] A phenomenon (dhamma) dissociated from ties (gantha) is a condition for a phenomenon dissociated from ties by prenascence condition (purejāta-paccaya): object-prenascence (ārammaṇa-purejāta) and base-prenascence (vatthu-purejāta).
Object-prenascence: one contemplates with insight the eye … the base … as impermanent …; one relishes it and delights in it; with that as object, lust (rāga) dissociated from ties arises; doubt (vicikicchā) … restlessness (uddhacca) … grief (domanassa) arises. One sees a form with the divine eye; one hears a sound with the divine ear element (dhātu). The form base (rūpāyatana) is a condition for eye-consciousness (cakkhu-viññāṇa); the tangible-object base (phoṭṭhabbāyatana), for body-consciousness (kāya-viññāṇa).
Base-prenascence: the eye base (cakkhāyatana) is a condition for eye-consciousness; the body base (kāyāyatana), for body-consciousness; the base is a condition for the aggregates (khandhā) dissociated from ties, and for greed (lobha) dissociated from views, and for repulsion (paṭigha), by prenascence condition.
A phenomenon dissociated from ties is a condition for a phenomenon associated with ties by prenascence condition: object-prenascence and base-prenascence.
Object-prenascence: one relishes and delights in the eye … the base; with that as object, lust associated with ties arises; view (diṭṭhi) … … grief arises.
Base-prenascence: the base is a condition for the aggregates associated with ties by prenascence condition.
A phenomenon dissociated from ties is a condition for a phenomenon associated with ties and for a phenomenon dissociated from ties by prenascence condition: object-prenascence and base-prenascence.
Object-prenascence: with the eye … the base as object, there arise the aggregates accompanied by greed dissociated from views, and greed; and the aggregates accompanied by grief, and repulsion.
Base-prenascence: the base is a condition for the aggregates accompanied by greed dissociated from views and for greed, and for the aggregates accompanied by grief and for repulsion, by prenascence condition.
