[869] A phenomenon without conflict (araṇo dhammo) is a condition for a phenomenon without conflict by prenascence condition (purejāta-paccaya): object-prenascence (ārammaṇa-purejāta) and base-prenascence (vatthu-purejāta).
Object-prenascence: the eye … the base (vatthu) … as impermanent … one sees with insight … With the divine eye (dibbacakkhu) one sees a form; with the divine ear element (dibbā sotadhātu) one hears a sound. The form base (rūpāyatana) [is a condition] for eye-consciousness (cakkhuviññāṇa); the tangible base (phoṭṭhabbāyatana) … .
Base-prenascence: the eye base (cakkhāyatana) [is a condition] for eye-consciousness, the body base (kāyāyatana) for body-consciousness (kāyaviññāṇa); the base is a condition for the aggregates (khandhā) without conflict by prenascence condition.
A phenomenon without conflict is a condition for a phenomenon with conflict (saraṇa) by prenascence condition: object-prenascence and base-prenascence.
