[1930] A present (paccuppanna) phenomenon (dhamma) is a condition for a present phenomenon by prenascence condition (purejāta-paccaya): object-prenascence (ārammaṇa-purejāta) and base-prenascence (vatthu-purejāta).
Object-prenascence: the eye … the base (vatthu) as impermanent … grief arises.
One sees a form with the divine eye (dibbacakkhu); with the divine ear element (dibbā sotadhātu) …
The form sense base (rūpāyatana) is a condition for eye-consciousness (cakkhu-viññāṇa), the tangible sense base (phoṭṭhabbāyatana) for body-consciousness (kāya-viññāṇa), by prenascence condition.
Base-prenascence: the eye sense base (cakkhāyatana) is a condition for eye-consciousness, the body sense base (kāyāyatana) for body-consciousness; the base (vatthu) is a condition for the present aggregates (khandha) by prenascence condition.
