[430] A phenomenon (dhamma) that is a fetter (saññojana) is a condition for a phenomenon that is a fetter by predominance condition (adhipati-paccaya): object-predominance (ārammaṇādhipati): having esteemed the fetters … three (answers), with esteemed object (garukārammaṇa).
A phenomenon that is not a fetter (no-saññojana) is a condition for a phenomenon that is not a fetter by predominance condition: object-predominance, conascence-predominance (sahajātādhipati). Object-predominance: having given a gift (dāna), virtue (sīla) … three (answers). For all three, object-predominance and conascence-predominance should be applied; all three should be classified.
A phenomenon that is a fetter and a phenomenon that is not a fetter are a condition for a phenomenon that is a fetter by predominance condition: object-predominance: having esteemed the fetters and the associated (sampayuttaka) aggregates (khandhā) … three (answers).
