[482] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) that is both a fetter (saññojana) and subject to fetters (saññojaniya), a phenomenon that is both a fetter and subject to fetters arises by root condition (hetu-paccaya): dependent on the fetter of sensual lust (kāmarāga-saññojana), the fetter of views (diṭṭhi-saññojana) and the fetter of ignorance (avijjā-saññojana) arise. The cycle (cakka) should be bound. Dependent on a phenomenon that is both a fetter and subject to fetters, a phenomenon that is subject to fetters but not a fetter arises by root condition: dependent on the fetters, the associated aggregates (sampayuttakā khandhā) and mind-originated form (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa) arise. Dependent on a phenomenon that is both a fetter and subject to fetters, a phenomenon that is both a fetter and subject to fetters and a phenomenon that is subject to fetters but not a fetter arise by root condition: dependent on the fetter of sensual lust, the fetter of views, the fetter of ignorance, the associated aggregates, and mind-originated form arise.
