[82] A phenomenon with roots (sahetuko dhammo) is a condition for a phenomenon with roots by predominance condition (adhipati-paccaya): object-predominance (ārammaṇādhipati) and conascence-predominance (sahajātādhipati).
Object-predominance: Having given a gift (dāna), … virtue (sīla) … the uposatha observance … having esteemed that, one reviews it. From jhāna … The noble ones (ariyā), having emerged from the path (magga), having esteemed the path … the fruition (phala) … Having esteemed aggregates (khandhā) with roots, one relishes them, delights in them; having esteemed that, lust (rāga) arises, view (diṭṭhi) arises.
Conascence-predominance: Predominance with roots is a condition for the associated (sampayuttaka) aggregates by predominance condition.
