[278] An internal phenomenon (ajjhattika dhamma) is a condition for an internal phenomenon by immediacy condition (anantara-paccaya):
Each preceding mind (citta) is a condition for each subsequent mind by immediacy condition. Three.
An external phenomenon (bāhira dhamma) is a condition for an external phenomenon by immediacy condition:
Each preceding [set of] external aggregates (khandhā) is a condition for each subsequent [set of] aggregates by immediacy condition; conformity (anuloma) [is a condition] for change-of-lineage (gotrabhū). Three.
For all three, it is just the same.
An internal phenomenon and an external phenomenon are a condition for an internal phenomenon by immediacy condition. Three.
