[412] A phenomenon that is not a clinging (no-upādāno dhammo) is a condition for a phenomenon that is not a clinging by prenascence condition (purejāta-paccaya): object-prenascence (ārammaṇa-purejāta), base-prenascence (vatthu-purejāta).
Object-prenascence: the eye (cakkhu) … the base (vatthu) as impermanent … grief (domanassa) arises. One sees a form (rūpa) with the divine eye (dibbacakkhu); one hears a sound with the divine ear element (dibbā sotadhātu). The form base (rūpāyatana) is a condition for eye-consciousness (cakkhu-viññāṇa), the tangible base (phoṭṭhabbāyatana) for body-consciousness (kāya-viññāṇa).
Base-prenascence: the eye base (cakkhāyatana) is a condition for eye-consciousness, the body base (kāyāyatana) … The base is a condition for the aggregates (khandhā) that are not clingings by prenascence condition.
A phenomenon that is not a clinging is a condition for a phenomenon that is a clinging (upādāno dhammo) by prenascence condition: object-prenascence, base-prenascence.
