[419] A phenomenon (dhamma) that is clinging (upādāna) is a condition for a phenomenon that is clinging by presence condition (atthi-paccaya): clinging to views (diṭṭhupādāna) is a condition for clinging to sensuality (kāmupādāna) by presence condition. The cycle (cakka). A phenomenon that is clinging is a condition for a phenomenon that is not clinging (no-upādāna) by presence condition: conascent (sahajāta), postnascent (pacchājāta). Conascent: the clingings are a condition for the associated (sampayuttaka) aggregates (khandhā) and for mind-originated forms (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa) by presence condition. Postnascent: the clingings are a condition for this prenascent (purejāta) body by presence condition.
