[596] A phenomenon to be abandoned by mental development (bhāvanāya pahātabbo dhammo) is a condition for a phenomenon to be abandoned by mental development by predominance condition (adhipati-paccaya): object-predominance (ārammaṇādhipati), conascence-predominance (sahajātādhipati).
Object-predominance: having esteemed (garuṃ katvā) lust (rāga) that is to be abandoned by mental development, one relishes it and delights in it; having esteemed that, lust to be abandoned by mental development arises.
Conascence-predominance: the predominance to be abandoned by mental development is a condition for the associated (sampayuttaka) aggregates (khandhā) by predominance condition.
A phenomenon to be abandoned by mental development is a condition for a phenomenon not to be abandoned by mental development by predominance condition: object-predominance, conascence-predominance.
Object-predominance: having esteemed lust that is to be abandoned by mental development, one relishes it and delights in it; having esteemed that, lust not to be abandoned by mental development arises, view (diṭṭhi) arises.
Conascence-predominance: the predominance to be abandoned by mental development is a condition for mind-originated forms (cittasamuṭṭhānā rūpā) by predominance condition.
A phenomenon to be abandoned by mental development is a condition for a phenomenon to be abandoned by mental development and for a phenomenon not to be abandoned by mental development by predominance condition: conascence-predominance: the predominance to be abandoned by mental development is a condition for the associated aggregates and mind-originated forms by predominance condition.
