[1027] Dependent on a root (hetu) phenomenon (dhamma) accompanied by conflict (saraṇa), a not-root (na-hetu) phenomenon that is not accompanied by conflict (na-saraṇa) arises by root condition (hetupaccayā). Dependent on a not-root (na-hetu) phenomenon accompanied by conflict, a phenomenon that is not a not-root (na-nahetu) and is not accompanied by conflict arises by root condition. Dependent on a root phenomenon accompanied by conflict and a not-root phenomenon accompanied by conflict, a not-root phenomenon that is not accompanied by conflict arises by root condition.
