[109] A bhikkhu who has spread the kaṭhina (atthatakaṭhina), taking with him a robe that is unfinished, departs. When he has gone outside the boundary (sīmā), it occurs to him thus: "I shall have this robe made right here; I shall not return." He has that robe made. For that bhikkhu the withdrawal of the kaṭhina (kaṭhinuddhāra) is determined by the completion (of the robe).
A bhikkhu who has spread the kaṭhina, taking with him a robe that is unfinished, departs. When he has gone outside the boundary, it occurs to him thus: "I shall neither have this robe made, nor shall I return." For that bhikkhu the withdrawal of the kaṭhina is determined by his decision.
A bhikkhu who has spread the kaṭhina, taking with him a robe that is unfinished, departs. When he has gone outside the boundary, it occurs to him thus: "I shall have this robe made right here; I shall not return." He has that robe made. While that robe is being made, it is destroyed. For that bhikkhu the withdrawal of the kaṭhina is determined by the destruction (of the robe).
