[147] Bhikkhus, an act of reconciliation (paṭisāraṇīyakamma) possessed of three factors is both a legitimate act (dhammakamma) and an act in accordance with the discipline (vinayakamma), and is well settled: it is done in the presence [of the accused]; it is done with interrogation; it is done with his acknowledgment.
