[148] Bhikkhus, when an act of reconciliation (paṭisāraṇīyakamma) possesses three further factors, it is an act in accordance with the Dhamma, an act in accordance with the Vinaya, and well settled: it is done for an offence (āpatti); it is done for an offence entailing confession (desanāgāminī); it is done for an offence that has not been confessed. Bhikkhus, when an act of reconciliation possesses these three factors, it is an act in accordance with the Dhamma, an act in accordance with the Vinaya, and well settled.
