Vinayapiṭaka · Cūḷavagga (1) · Vol. 6 · Section 158

[158] Bhikkhus, an act of reconciliation (paṭisāraṇīyakamma) possessed of three further factors is a legitimate act (dhammakamma), an act in accordance with the discipline (vinayakamma), and one that is well settled: it is done after the offense (āpatti) has been charged; it is done in accordance with the Dhamma; it is done by a united [assembly]. Bhikkhus, an act of reconciliation possessed of these three factors is indeed a legitimate act, an act in accordance with the discipline, and one that is well settled.
