[173] "And thus, bhikkhus, should it be revoked. Bhikkhus, the bhikkhu Sudhamma should approach the Saṅgha, arrange his upper robe over one shoulder, pay homage at the feet of the senior bhikkhus, sit down on his heels, raise his joined palms, and should say thus: 'Venerable sirs, I, upon whom the act of reconciliation (paṭisāraṇīyakamma) was imposed by the Saṅgha, am conducting myself properly, am subdued, and am behaving so as to make amends; I request the revocation of the act of reconciliation.' It should be requested a second time. It should be requested a third time.
"The Saṅgha should be informed by a competent and capable bhikkhu: 'Venerable sirs, let the Saṅgha hear me. This bhikkhu Sudhamma, upon whom the act of reconciliation was imposed by the Saṅgha, is conducting himself properly, is subdued, is behaving so as to make amends, and requests the revocation of the act of reconciliation. If it is the right time for the Saṅgha, let the Saṅgha revoke the act of reconciliation for the bhikkhu Sudhamma. This is the motion (ñatti).
"'Venerable sirs, let the Saṅgha hear me. This bhikkhu Sudhamma, upon whom the act of reconciliation was imposed by the Saṅgha, is conducting himself properly, is subdued, is behaving so as to make amends, and requests the revocation of the act of reconciliation. The Saṅgha revokes the act of reconciliation for the bhikkhu Sudhamma. Whichever venerable one approves of the revocation of the act of reconciliation for the bhikkhu Sudhamma should remain silent; whoever does not approve should speak.
"'A second time I speak on this matter. Venerable sirs, let the Saṅgha hear me.
