[391] The Saṅgha should be informed by a competent and capable bhikkhu:
"Venerable sirs, let the Saṅgha listen to me. This bhikkhu Udāyi committed one offence (āpatti) of intentional emission of semen (sañcetanikā sukkavisaṭṭhi), concealed for one day. He requested from the Saṅgha one day's probation (parivāsa) for the one offence of intentional emission of semen, concealed for one day. The Saṅgha granted the bhikkhu Udāyi one day's probation for the one offence of intentional emission of semen, concealed for one day. Having completed the probation, he requested from the Saṅgha the mānatta of six nights for the one offence of intentional emission of semen, concealed for one day. The Saṅgha granted the bhikkhu Udāyi the mānatta of six nights for the one offence of intentional emission of semen, concealed for one day. Having observed the mānatta, he requests rehabilitation (abbhāna) from the Saṅgha. If it seems fitting to the Saṅgha, let the Saṅgha rehabilitate the bhikkhu Udāyi. This is the motion (ñatti).

"The bhikkhu Udāyi has been rehabilitated by the Saṅgha. It is agreeable to the Saṅgha; therefore it is silent. Thus do I hold it."
