[522] Bhikkhus, again, in this case a bhikkhu commits several offenses (āpatti) entailing a formal meeting of the Saṅgha (saṅghādisesa). Some offenses he remembers; some offenses he does not remember. Those offenses that he remembers, he conceals; those offenses that he does not remember, he does not conceal. Having disrobed (vibbhamitvā) and been ordained again, those offenses which formerly, having remembered them, he concealed, those offenses afterwards, having remembered them, he conceals; and those offenses which formerly, not having remembered them, he did not conceal, those offenses afterwards, having remembered them, he does not conceal. Bhikkhus, having given that bhikkhu probation (parivāsa) for both the earlier and the later class of offenses (āpattikkhandha), according as they were concealed, mānatta should be given.
