[541] Bhikkhus, here again, a bhikkhu, while undergoing probation (parivāsa), commits in the interim numerous saṅghādisesa offenses. Some offenses he remembers, some offenses he does not remember. Those offenses that he remembers, he conceals; those offenses that he does not remember, he does not conceal. Having disrobed, he is ordained again. Those offenses which, having remembered, he formerly concealed — remembering those offenses later, he does not conceal them; those offenses which, not having remembered, he formerly did not conceal — remembering those offenses later, he does not conceal them. That bhikkhu should be sent back to the beginning (mūlāya paṭikassitabbo), and he should be given a combined probation (samodhānaparivāsa) — combined with the earlier offense — for his offenses according to the period they were concealed.
