[545] Bhikkhus, here again a bhikkhu, while undergoing probation (parivāsa), commits several offenses (āpatti) entailing a formal meeting of the Saṅgha (saṅghādisesa) in the interim; regarding some offenses he is free from doubt, regarding some offenses he is in doubt. Those offenses regarding which he is free from doubt, he conceals; those offenses regarding which he is in doubt, he does not conceal. Having disrobed, he is ordained again. Those offenses which, formerly being free from doubt, he concealed—those offenses, later being free from doubt, he does not conceal; those offenses which, formerly being in doubt, he did not conceal—those offenses, later being free from doubt, he does not conceal. That bhikkhu should be sent back to the beginning (mūlāya paṭikassitabbo), and he should be given a combined probation (samodhānaparivāsa) together with the earlier offense, according to the offenses that were concealed by him.
