[569] Bhikkhus, again, here a bhikkhu commits multiple saṅghādisesa offenses (āpatti) — some measurable and some immeasurable, some of the same name and some of different names, some of the same class and some of a different class, some distinct and some mixed together. He asks the Saṅgha for combined probation (samodhānaparivāsa) for those offenses. The Saṅgha grants him combined probation for those offenses. While he is observing probation, he commits in the interval multiple saṅghādisesa offenses, immeasurable and unconcealed. He asks the Saṅgha for sending back to the beginning (mūlāya paṭikassana) on account of the intervening offenses. The Saṅgha sends him back to the beginning on account of the intervening offenses by a legitimate act, unshakeable and fit to stand; it grants combined probation in accordance with the Dhamma; it grants penance (mānatta) contrary to the Dhamma; it rehabilitates (abbheti) him contrary to the Dhamma. Bhikkhus, that bhikkhu is not purified of those offenses.
