Niyasakamma

Vinayapiṭaka · Cūḷavagga (1) · Vol. 6 · Section 77

[77] "Well then, bhikkhus, let the Saṅgha revoke the act of demotion (niyassakamma) for the bhikkhu Seyyasaka. "Bhikkhus, the act of demotion should not be revoked for a bhikkhu who possesses five factors: he gives the higher ordination (upasampadā); he gives dependence (nissaya); he has a novice (sāmaṇera) attend upon him; he accepts an agreement to be an exhorter of bhikkhunīs; and, even having been agreed upon, he exhorts bhikkhunīs. Bhikkhus, the act of demotion should not be revoked for a bhikkhu who possesses these five factors."
