[470] What is the one legitimate (dhammika) suspension of the Pātimokkha (pātimokkhaṭṭhapana)? He suspends the Pātimokkha on account of a failure in virtue (sīlavipatti) that is grounded (samūlikā). This is the one legitimate suspension of the Pātimokkha.
