[471] "The pārājika (offense entailing expulsion) for intentionally depriving a human being of life — where was it laid down?" "It was laid down at Vesālī." "Concerning whom?" "Concerning several bhikkhus." "On account of what matter?" "On the matter of several bhikkhus depriving one another of life." There is one rule (paññatti) and one supplementary rule (anupaññatti). Of the six origins of offenses, it arises by three origins: it may arise from body and mind (citta), not from speech; it may arise from speech and mind, not from body; it may arise from body, speech, and mind.
