Vinayapiṭaka · Parivāra · Vol. 8 · Section 557

[557] "Where was the pācittiya laid down for a bhikkhunī who, having approached families after the meal, sits down¹ on a seat without asking the owners?" — "It was laid down at Sāvatthī." "Concerning whom?" — "Concerning the bhikkhunī Thullanandā." "In what matter?" — "In the matter of the bhikkhunī Thullanandā, having approached families after the meal, sitting down¹ on a seat without asking the owners." There is one laying down (paññatti). Of the six origins of offenses (āpattisamuṭṭhāna), it arises through two origins (as in the Kathina rule). ¹ M. and Yu. editions read *abhinisīdantiyā*.

English translation from the Pali (Siam Raṭṭha edition) — under review, not for citation.
