[609] "Where was the Pācittiya laid down for [a bhikkhunī] who, having ordained a pupil (sahajīvinī), for two years neither assists her nor has her assisted?" — "It was laid down at Sāvatthī." "Concerning whom?" — "Concerning the bhikkhunī Thullanandā." "Regarding what matter?" — "Regarding the matter of the bhikkhunī Thullanandā, who, having ordained a pupil, for two years neither assisted her nor had her assisted." There is one laying-down (paññatti). Of the six origins of offenses (āpattisamuṭṭhāna), it arises through one origin (as in the rule on laying down the burden, dhuranikkhepa).
