[8] By that Blessed One who knows and sees, the Arahant, the Perfectly Enlightened One — where was the saṅghādisesa for one who, having made an effort, emits semen laid down? Concerning whom? On what ground? Is there in that case a laying down (paññatti), a supplementary laying down (anupaññatti), a laying down where nothing had yet arisen (anuppannapaññatti)? A laying down applying everywhere, a laying down applying in a certain region? A laying down shared in common, a laying down not shared in common? A laying down for one side only, a laying down for both sides? Of the five recitations of the Pātimokkha, in which is it contained, in which is it included, by which recitation does it come up for recitation? Of the four failures (vipatti), which failure is it? Of the seven classes of offence (āpattikkhandha), which class of offence is it? Of the six originations of offences (samuṭṭhāna), from how many originations does it originate? Of the four legal questions (adhikaraṇa), which legal question is it? Of the seven settlements (samatha), by how many settlements is it settled? What in that case is discipline (vinaya)? What in that case is higher discipline (abhivinaya)? What in that case is the Pātimokkha? What in that case is the higher Pātimokkha (adhipātimokkha)? What is failure? What is success (sampatti)? What is practice (paṭipatti)? Depending on how many reasons was the saṅghādisesa for one who, having made an effort, emits semen laid down by the Blessed One? Who train in it? Who are those whose training has been completed? Where is it established? Who bear it in mind? Whose word is it? By whom was it conveyed?
