[285] Now at that time a certain bhikkhu said to another bhikkhu: "Friend, those who are co-resident pupils (saddhivihārika) of our preceptor (upajjhāya) are all arahants." He was remorseful. He reported this matter to the Blessed One. "What was your intention, bhikkhu?" "I intended to boast, Blessed One." "Bhikkhu, there is no offense of pārājika; there is an offense of thullaccaya."
Now at that time a certain bhikkhu said to another bhikkhu: "Friend, those who are pupils (antevāsika) of our preceptor are all of great psychic power, of great might." He was remorseful. He reported this matter to the Blessed One. "What was your intention, bhikkhu?" "I intended to boast, Blessed One." "Bhikkhu, there is no offense of pārājika; there is an offense of thullaccaya."
