SaṅghādisesakaṇḍaSaṅghādisessikkhāpada

Vinayapiṭaka · Bhikkhu Vibhaṅga (1) · Vol. 1 · Section 485

[485] A woman protected by the threat of a penalty (saparidaṇḍā) sends a bhikkhu, saying: "Go, venerable sir, say to the man of such-and-such a name: 'I shall be the wife of the man of such-and-such a name — both a wife living with him by her own desire (chandavāsinī) and a wife living with him for wealth (bhogavāsinī) … both a wife living by her own desire and a momentary wife (muhuttikā); both a wife living by her own desire and a wife bought with money (dhanakkītā).'" He accepts, he inquires, he reports back: an offense of saṅghādisesa. The bound wheel (baddhacakka) [is concluded]. The root [section] is given in brief.
