[652] If she should say thus: "The venerable one was seen by me lying down, engaging in bodily contact (kāyasaṃsagga) with a woman" — if he acknowledges that, he is to be dealt with according to the offence (āpatti) … "It is true I was lying down, but I did not engage in bodily contact" — he is to be dealt with for the lying down … "I was not lying down; rather, I was sitting" — he is to be dealt with for the sitting … "I was not sitting; rather, I was standing" — he is not to be dealt with.
