[636] "One whose word is trustworthy" (saddheyyavacasā) means: one who has attained the fruit (āgataphalā), one who has penetrated the truths (abhisametāvinī), one who has understood the dispensation (viññātasāsanā). "Female lay follower" (upāsikā) means: one who has gone for refuge to the Buddha, gone for refuge to the Dhamma, gone for refuge to the Saṅgha. "Having seen" means having beheld.
