[340] There are, friends, eight teachings (dhammā) rightly expounded by that Blessed One who knows and sees, the Arahant, the Perfectly Awakened One. Therein all should recite together in concord … for the benefit, for the welfare, for the happiness of gods and humans. What eight?
Eight wrongnesses (micchatta): wrong view (micchādiṭṭhi), wrong intention (micchāsaṅkappa), wrong speech (micchāvācā), wrong action (micchākammanta), wrong livelihood (micchā-ājīva), wrong effort (micchāvāyāma), wrong mindfulness (micchāsati), wrong concentration (micchāsamādhi).
